Announcing: The Complete Guide to FamilyTreeDNA; Y-DNA, Mitochondrial, Autosomal and X-DNA

I’m so very pleased to announce the publication of my new book, The Complete Guide to FamilyTreeDNA – Y-DNA, Mitochondrial, Autosomal and X-DNA.

For the first time, the publisher, Genealogical.com, is making the full-color, searchable e-book version available before the hardcopy print version, here. The e-book version can be read using your favorite e-book reader such as Kindle or iBooks.

Even better yet, if you purchase the book this weekend or before midnight Monday EST (May 6), you can receive a 15% discount by using the code FTDNA15 at checkout.

The hardcopy version is scheduled for release at the end of May and will be available from the publisher and Amazon at that time.

This book is about more than how to use the FamilyTreeDNA products and interpreting their genealogical meaning, it’s also a primer on the four different types of DNA used for genealogy and how they work:

  • Autosomal DNA
  • Mitochondrial DNA
  • Y-DNA
  • X-DNA

There’s a LOT here, as shown by the table of contents, below

This book is chocked full of great information in one place. As an added bonus, the DNA glossary is 18 pages long.

Not Currently Available in Some Countries

Unfortunately, Genealogical.com has had to block traffic from some countries due to ongoing fraud attempts.

“We had to block a number of countries to counter bad actors who were using our shopping cart to test questionable credit cards. We have not found a good way to stop them other than shutting down access from countries where we do little business. I would be glad to unblock a country for a short period if someone makes a request.”

This is the LAST thing a publisher wants to do, and I apologize. Let me know if you’d like me to request a specific country. Maybe we can have <insert country name here> week!

When released, the print book will be available through the publisher and also at Amazon, meaning it will be available to everyone worldwide.

I really hope you enjoy my new book, in whatever format you prefer.
