Just what many of you have been waiting for! The hardcopy print version of the Complete Guide to FamilyTreeDNA has just been released.
- The e-pub version was previously released and is available to worldwide customers only from the publisher. Now, the paperback print version is available too.
- Click here to order the print version from the publisher in the US.
- International customers must order the printed book from their country’s Amazon website to avoid delays, customs, and increased shipping costs.

The order form does not allow for the hardcover version.
I meant hard copy as in print as opposed to the e-pub version. It’s soft back and won’t be offered as hardback. I apologize for the confusion.
As of today 5-26-24 No hard copy available on GPC website.
By hard copy I meant print as opposed to e-pub. It’s paperback print and will not be offered in a hardback version. I apologize for the confusion.
That is will be a great book as usual, from a researcher like you.
People like me, who got near sight can’t read long articles..or books..!
I wish there will be a digital version of it.At Amazon or others,so that we can read it.
Thank you Roberta for this work, and all your great explanations and contributions. For genealogy and genetic genealogy.
For me DNA make me understand our people deep history since thousands of years.Plus our recent history and how they lived, and where they moved.!! etc.
The e-pub version is digital. On an iPad or your monitor, you can expand the page size.
Not available yet on Amazon.ca (Canada). Hopefully it will soon!
Not yet available in France either. I’ll wait.
Looking forward to this book but hope Amazon US picks it up. Their website is so much easier than the genealogy book website, which always sends me into an endless frustrating loop. One way or another, though, I will buy the book. It fills a big need!
Amazon carries my other book so I’m sure it will be there shortly. Thank you.
Your new book is not available in Amazon in Europe. Neuther ebook or hard copy. Unfortunately.
Hello Roberta. My name is Jerry. It is May 29, 2024, 7:40AM Eastern Time (USA). I just checked Amazon. I cannot find it under the book’s title nor under your name.
It’s not on Amazon in the US but it should be elsewhere.
I just received the hard copy of the book — I was disappointed that it was in Black and White with gray shading in the charts that are defined as having color delineation in the text.
Full color printing costs about 4 times as much, pricing the book out of reach for many. I would suggest signing in to your account and following along. You could also purchase the ebook which is full color and searchable too.
For future reference, would you spend the extra $ to purchase a full color book, or would you feel better if I didn’t mention color in the text? I don’t want people to be unhappy.
As I am very interested as I prefer to read the books, paperbacks and articles, I am looking for the best book or the best paperback about Family Tree DNA in Amazon.com in USA. Well I am curious.
My book is the only one to focus on FamilyTreeDNA but it’s only available from the publisher in the US. Amazon charges an exorbitant percentage leaving the author with only pennies.
Just received my book! Great summer reading ahead – yay! I will feel free to write notes in the book and dogear pages as I like.
I take nots in books and highlight all the time. It helps me a great deal.
Will this book be available in Kindle format at some point? I know Genealogical Publishing Company offers it in e-book form but I prefer Kindle.
No, there are no plans for that because of the associated costs. I’m sorry.
Is the ePub version at Genealogical Publishing Company in color, or only the supplemental pages?
Yes, the ePub version is in full color. All of it.
