ECGGC 2026: East Coast Genetic Genealogy Conference – Both In-Person and Virtual

I hope you’ll join me and a whole trove of other wonderful speakers at the East Coast Genetic Genealogy Conference August 21-23 in Boston. The in-person conference is being held at the Embassy Suites at the Boston Logan Airport, so you don’t need to worry about transportation into Boston after arrival.

The great news is that you don’t have to be present to participate, and you don’t have to worry about missing sessions you wanted to attend.

All sessions, except for the Sunday morning ISOGG meeting, are either livestreamed, then available to watch later, or are available on-demand on their scheduled day.

I love this conference because it focuses strictly on genetic genealogy and how to apply it successfully to genealogy. Not to mention, it’s like a family reunion! I can hardly wait to see everyone!

Keynotes

Speakers

In alphabetical order, speakers include:

You can view the schedule and session information here.

For people attending in Boston, additional activities are being held at the American Ancestors office and library on Thursday.

DNA Academy

Saturday evening, the ECGGC hosts DNA Academy. Each year, this fun, interactive, advanced learning session is hosted by Mags Gaulden and includes a panel Q&A session, and speakers.

From the ECGGC agenda:

Join Mags Gaulden, Dave Vance, Roberta Estes, Rob Warthen, Katherine Borges, and Jennifer Zinck for a Q & A panel with special guests to start, then sit back and enjoy a presentation on NGS testing for autosomal DNA, by Dave Vance, and “Using Ancient Connections to Unlock Genealogy”, by Roberta Estes.

Exhibit and Vendor Hall

There are both in-person and virtual vendor exhibit halls, so visit both if attending in person. Vendors who sponsor this indispensable conference are the ones who keep it affordable for the rest of us, so be sure to stop by their booths.

Register

The conference starts in just a month, but there’s still time to register, here. In-person costs $295 and virtual is $175. Both are great values. I already have my plan in place for which sessions I’m attending in person, and I’ll watch the rest after the conference.

Hope to see you there. Please be sure to say hello.
