Father’s Day DNA Sale

Need a gift for Dad?  Family Tree DNA is offering their Family Finder test for $89 between now and midnight the 21st.  That’s $10 off and is good for either new customers or upgrades and for either males or females.

FTDNA Father's Day

Give Dad the gift of cousins, DNA matches and an ethnicity estimate.  That should give you plenty to discuss over dinner for the next several weeks!

PS – you can order more than one test.  No limit.  The more cousins you test, the easier your genealogy becomes!  I go to family reunions with DNA kits in my bag.  Seriously!  And I have them swab right there at the picnic table!

  1. I have taken the Ancestry autosomal DNA test and have added the kit to FTDNA. (I don’t know how to read the findings) Will the Family Finder test be of enough benefit to justify the cost of taking it?

By the way.. I read with interest your recent piece on Elijah Vannoy as I am in Ancestry DNA Family Circles for both John Vannoy and his wife Elizabeth Kilby. There are three DNA matches in the circles – the same matches in both circles.

Here is the information that accompanied the Family Circle. John Vannoy was born on March 22, 1775, in Wilkes County, North Carolina. He married his first wife in June 1797 in Wilkes County, North Carolina. He married two more times. He died on April 16, 1855, in Pike County, Missouri, having lived a long life of 80 years

  2. I wanted to order several kits to be sent to be open invoice but all I could get is one kit showing in the cart and only place to enter credit card info. Plus I logged in to my account to have the kit sent to me and you still have to say male or female (and I have no idea at this time about sex of the person) so how does one order numerous kits open invoice to take advantage of the sale?

    • You can’t order two of the same kit on the same account. You will just have to order one kit at a time because they all are assigned a kit number when they are shipped. Normally, kits on sale aren’t available through the invoice method, so if you want the sale price, you’ll need to pay now.

  3. Hi Roberta I don’t know where you find the time and the energy to keep us all up to the mark! Thanks for the reminder about more tests Elaina (Rothman)
